Southwest based trade supplier Fleet Frames and its associated companies, will soon become the latest company to gain Secured By Design accreditation. This will mean that Fleet Frames will be able to produce Eurocell Eurologik window products to the Police preferred specification.
Fleet Frames anticipates being granted Secured By Design status on its Eurologik 70mm PVCu window system, which is only applicable to products manufactured to the highest standards, that have passed stringent test criteria set by Secured By Design.
Secured By Design is a crime prevention initiative managed by the ACPO CPI limited on behalf of the UK Association of Police Chief Officers (ACPO). It is designed to support the building industry in designing out crime in homes and commercial premises.
A number of specifications were tested as part of gaining Secured By Design status; this included visits by BBA (British Board of Agrement) and Secured By Design officials to the company's Newton Abbot production facility in Devon to ensure that the windows tested were representative of those that will be supplied to customers.
This will be followed by a programme of regular visits by BBA and Secured By Design to ensure continued quality standards.
